Food, Drink and Restaurants

Lisbon is a seaside city, so it is rich in fresh seafood and is very delicious. 

"Time Out Market" is next to Big market and there are a lot of small shops here, and you can order what you like and eat it at the table.

Also,  "port wine", which is an apéritif and a digestif, is unique to Portugal. There is a place people try to drink several port wines.

The first time we drank port wine was the "welcome drink" in the hotel room, and we were impressed by how delicious it was.

The price of port wine is rising as the years go by, such as 20, 30, and 40 years.

Precious wines are covered with special equipment to keep them out of the air.

"pasteis de belem" is the first pastry, started to make and sell egg custard tart.

These were very delicious! 

"Solar Dos Presuntos" is a restaurant with a large fish tank. We went there without a reservation, so we waited a little bit but we got into it. It looked like a popular restaurant and was full. 

We ordered "Fish Grill", Yummy!!!

Also our hotel staff's recommendation is "Forninho Saloio"

This restaurant was very good too.

Sintra day trip from Lisbon

On the third day, we took a train from Rossio station at Lisbon to the city of "Sintra", a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It took about 40min.

There are famous four castles there. At first we visited "Pena Castle".

The gate is very interesting figure!

This is a big castle but it's fun!

Of course, we can see the inside of castle. it was beautiful.

Next we moved to "Castle of Moores". There are just only ruins and long stoned roads.

We walked about 40 min,

The third castle is " Sintra National Palace."

It's looks like a museum, we saw many rooms and furniture.
