Lisbon, Portuguese capital, it is very warm and clean city, "Even winter, never freezing" one driver told
us. Also people are very kind and nice.
This is the main street, at spring and summer it might be beautiful of green leaves and flowers.
At first, we went to "Placa do Rossio". Rossio is a popular name for "Pedro IV Square".
In the Middle Ages, it was the stage for bullfighting and executions, but now it is a meeting place
for Locals. At the top effigy is Pedro IV.
This elevator is "Santa Justa Lift", the high is 45 m and it contains two cabins made by wood.
You can see the Lisbon city from the top!
"Arco de Rua Augusta" is the triumphal gate built to commemorate the reconstruction
of the 1755 Great Earthquake.
This square faces the sea, and on the sea side we saw young people sitting and chatting. The weather
was really nice and beautiful!
The local said "Even winter never freezing in Lisbon".
"Museu Calouste Gulbenkian" is the huge museum in Lisbon. There are more than 4,000 collections
there. Gulbenkian is Armenian and he had a big success for oil.
There are Rembrandt, Mona and Degas... Also Turkish tiles, French Furniture and African...
We enjoyed so much.
